I've been making an effort to get in touch and keep in touch with my entire family lately. I've been writing long lost cousins, aunts and uncles that probably thought me to be dead. I have to say, it feels pretty darn good. There is that weird connection that we human beings only have with family. There is something to be said for genetics. Maybe it's our pioneer forefathers that we share in common. We have survivor genes. This makes me think of my Grandmother Sydney. I called her Grammy. She was orphaned at birth, raised by her paranoid spinster aunt Liela (whom I loved dearly). My Grammy came of age during the dustbowl. Most people left the plains during those days. Not her. She lived right through it. She and her aunt toughed the whole thing out in a one room shack with a dirt floor. Nothing, NOTHING held those women down. My Great Aunt Liela ran a POW camp during WW-I. My Grammy wore pants, rode western sadles, and drove cars in the 20's. She was a pioneer in her own right. She was one of the first women to graduate from her college. She worked her entire life, even when she didn't have to. She was well spoken, loving and just pretty damn cool. ......I miss her. I think I'll light a candle for her today.

Wow... I just like had a therapy moment there. :P Sorry about that.

Anyway... I'm thinking that I might start a cleaning blog. Seriously a blog completely devoted t0 housecleaning and watching paint dry. -teehee.

I bought this funky cleaning spray yesterday that disinfects with silver ions. How bitchin' is that? It totally kicks ass, I don't care what you say ...as if you are still reading this. I read the MSDS on it and it's so much safer than bleach. Yay!! Now if only it would whiten my socks.
